Randy’s Music Notes

It’s almost time for our Community Choir.  Rehearsals will begin next week and you are invited and encouraged to join us.  This is open to students who have completed the 6th grade and up.  We have 8 fantastic songs of all genres and we will be sharing in a night of worship on August 25th.  Practices will be on Sunday afternoon and we are asking participants to attend at least half of the rehearsals in order to sing.  We will have an app available with rehearsal tracks for all songs to help each person learn the music.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I don’t know how many of you know our custodian, Mae Wooten but if you don’t, you are missing out.  I love Mae and I often get the opportunity to be in the Sanctuary as Mae cleans and I get the opportunity to hear her pray over the people who will be sitting in each pew.  I hear her sing praises to God as she cleans and I hear her praying for our church.  She serves so faithfully not only by cleaning our building so wonderfully but also taking care of our children through our nursery.  I hope if you see Mae, you will take a moment to tell her how much you appreciate her ministry to our church.

We are in the process of meeting with our video and audio company and we hope to be underway soon to address our video, audio, hearing impaired and livestream issues and set us up with even better sound for the future.  I know this has been a longer process than we ever imagined but it has been difficult to find a company who is willing to work on existing issues because they make more money on new installs.

See you Sunday,

Randy
