Children's Choir & Bells
Our children's choirs and handbell groups meet each Tuesday after school. Our church bus runs to each of the schools (Magnolia and Senatobia City Schools) to transport them from school to choir.
This choir is for children age 4 through kindergarten. They meet during the school year at 3:15pm in our Preschool wing. This choir will sing for worship three to four times during the school year. The main emphasis is placed on spiritual growth through basic music education while also providing a time of recreation and snack.
Music maker choir
Our 1st-3rd grade choir meets for snacks and recreation at 3pm. in the Family Life Center. At 3:30pm the children are met by their directors and led to their practice room. The choir concludes at 4:20pm. This choir will sing for worship three to four times during a school year. Spiritual growth through continued music education with somewhat more emphasis on worship leading is emphasized in this choir.
Our 4th-6th grade choir follows the same format as our Music Maker choir, joining them for snacks and recreation but having their own practice time, with a much stronger emphasis placed on "our roles" as spiritual and worship leaders. The gospel is presented to the children through word and song. The choir leads in worship three or four times during a school year with the presentation of a major children's musical and drama at Christmas or springtime.
Our bell program has proven to be an effective tool in training young musicians to become excellent worship leaders.
